About

Hodge Industrial Technologies is a distributor of industrial equipment — compressed air, vacuum, nitrogen, and ancillary products — with full-service facilities in 9 states: Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and Texas. A 10th opens in Pennsylvania in November 2026.

Morty founded the business in January 2010. The original operation became Atlanta Compressor, the founding location from which Hodge Industrial Technologies and Hodge Compressor grew into a multi-state platform. The company is on track to finish 2026 at 20X its 2015 size.

Hodge Compressor, also founded by Morty, designs and engineers its own line of rotary screw air compressors in Georgia, with assembly and light manufacturing of its HTM line in the USA, backed by its Forever Warranty. In 2024, Morty developed the Hodge VR Showroom — the world’s first fully immersive virtual reality demonstration of a rotary screw air compressor.

Morty holds FAA Airframe & Powerplant mechanic licenses from MIAT College of Technology.

The Industrial Movement

Morty created and hosted The Industrial Movement — a podcast about the people, processes, and equipment behind American manufacturing, started because manufacturing leaders had few places to share ideas with each other. The show ran 30 episodes and remains available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and theindustrialmovement.com.

Speaking

Morty is a frequent conference speaker on marketing, small business, scaling, company culture, and leadership development, including ICON by Infusionsoft (now Keap) in Phoenix, multiple appearances at the Elite Entrepreneurs Conference, and Kaishan Compressor events.

He has appeared on The Elite Entrepreneurs Podcast (“Working to a Shared Vision”), the Speak with People podcast, and Rob Anspach’s E-Heroes, and has been quoted in Compressed Air Best Practices magazine on hiring and developing service technicians.

Morty serves on the board of Little Red Acorn, a nonprofit providing scholarships to people entering the skilled trades, in partnership with the Trades Education Center in Arcade, Georgia. He is a member of the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance.

Faith & Family

Morty is a Christian, a husband of 31 years, a father of six, and a grandfather of three — so far. Three of his children work in the family business. Faith and family come before everything else he’s built.
