Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This policy covers hodgecompressor.com. It explains what we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have kept it plain, because a policy nobody can read is not much use to anyone.
The Short Version
- We collect what you type into our forms: your name, work email, phone number, company, and whatever you tell us about your compressed air needs.
- We use it to answer you and to connect you with the authorized Hodge distributor who covers your area.
- We share it with that distributor and with the vendors that run our website, forms, and email.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Our site uses cookies to keep it working and to see which pages get used. You can turn most of them off in your browser.
- Want to know what we have on you, or want it deleted? Email info@hodgecompressor.com and put “Privacy” in the subject line.
The rest of this page is the full policy, and the full policy is what governs.
Who This Policy Covers
Hodge Compressor designs and engineers rotary screw air compressors and refrigerated air dryers in Hoschton, Georgia, and sells them through a network of authorized distributors. This policy applies to hodgecompressor.com, including the Get Quote and Contact Us forms, the Resources downloads, and the Distributor Portal.
[LEGAL ENTITY: one sentence here naming the entity responsible for the data, once counsel confirms the wording.]
It does not cover the separate websites run by our distributors, or any other website you reach from a link on this one. Those companies have their own privacy policies.
What We Collect
| Information | Where it comes from | Why we have it |
|---|---|---|
| First and last name, email address, contact number, company name, and the details you write in the message field | The Get Quote form and the Contact Us form | So we can answer your question and get it to the right person or distributor |
| Your email address and whatever you write | Email you send to info@hodgecompressor.com | So we can reply and keep a record of the conversation |
| Account sign-in details and portal activity | Distributors signing in to the Distributor Portal | So authorized distributors can reach the material and tools reserved for them |
| IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the site or search that sent you here | Collected automatically by cookies and analytics | So the site keeps working properly and we can see which pages people actually use |
The spec sheets on our Resources page download directly. You do not have to hand over your information to get them.
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or other sensitive personal information anywhere on this website. Please do not send those through our forms or by email.
Cookies and Tracking
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser so it can remember things between pages and visits. Ours do three jobs:
- Keeping the site working. Loading pages, submitting forms, and blocking spam.
- Measuring traffic. Counting visits and seeing which pages and products get looked at, so we know what to improve.
- Advertising. Measuring whether our ads brought someone to the site, and in some cases showing our ads to people who have visited before.
[TOOL LIST: name the analytics and advertising tools actually running on the site.]
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking the ones that keep the site working may stop parts of it from working, including form submissions.
[CONSENT BANNER: describe what it lets visitors control, if one is installed.]
How We Use Your Information
- Answering your quote request, technical question, or warranty question.
- Matching you with an authorized distributor in your area and passing along what you told us, so you do not have to explain it twice.
- Sending you the product information, spec sheets, or pricing you asked for.
- Running the website, fixing problems, and protecting it from spam and abuse.
- Meeting our legal, tax, and warranty record-keeping obligations.
[MARKETING EMAIL: if any marketing email goes to people who submit these forms, add a bullet here and a line on how to unsubscribe.]
We do not use what you tell us for anything unrelated to the reason you contacted us.
Who We Share It With
Authorized distributors. This is the main one, and it is the point of the quote form. Hodge compressors are sold and serviced through our distributor network, so when you ask for a quote we hand your request to thedistributor covering your area. From there they contact you directly, and what they do with your information is governed by their own privacy policy.
Service providers. The companies that host the website, run the forms, deliver our email, and handle analytics and advertising. They get only what they need to do that work.
When the law requires it. To comply with a law, a subpoena, or a government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our people, our customers, or the public.
If the business changes hands. If Hodge Compressor is ever sold, merged, or reorganized, customer information may transfer as part of that business.
We do not sell your personal information.
[ADVERTISING DISCLOSURE: if remarketing pixels run on the site, add the cross-context advertising line and opt-out here.]
How Long We Keep It
We keep quote and contact requests for as long as we need them to handle your request, support the equipment you bought, and meet our warranty and legal record-keeping obligations. After that we delete them or strip out anything that identifies you. Analytics data is kept on the retention schedule set in the analytics tool.
[RETENTION PERIOD: add a specific period here if the client wants one stated.]
How We Protect It
The site runs over an encrypted connection, and access to form submissions and portal accounts is limited to the people who need it.
No website can promise perfect security, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Email in particular is not a secure channel, so please do not send account numbers or other sensitive details that way.
[SAFEGUARDS: add any specific security measures the team wants stated, once IT confirms them.]
Your Choices and Your Rights
Privacy laws in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and a growing number of other states give residents specific rights over their personal information. We extend the rights below to anyone who asks, whether or not your state requires it.
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Ask for a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete it.
- Opt out of marketing email at any time.
- Opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell it, so there is nothing to opt out of.
To make a request, email info@hodgecompressor.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We will confirm we received it and respond within 45 days, and we will tell you if we need longer. We may need to ask a question or two to confirm you are who you say you are before we act on a request. You can have an authorized agent make the request for you.
Asking us to do any of this will not change how we treat you as a customer or a distributor.
Children's Privacy
This website is built for industrial and commercial buyers. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email info@hodgecompressor.com and we will delete it.
Links to Other Websites
Our site links to our distributors, our social media accounts, and other outside pages. Once you follow one of those links you are on somebody else’s website, under their privacy policy, and this one no longer applies.
Changes to This Policy
When we update this policy we will change the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will say so on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
